The Costa del Sol has long been a favourite holiday resort of northern Europeans and also attracts many vistitors from across the Atlantic too, this is only to be expected as it is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. The climate of course is everything it should be with itīs long, hot ,dry summers, beautiful bright, warm springs and autumns and mild sunny winters when it is still light at 6.30 in the evening. The beaches of the Costa del Sol are long, clean, sandy and safe-in fact everything a beach should be. They are well provided with sunbeds and parasols and most of them have a chiringito (beach bar) where you can enjoy long cold drinks in the shade and delicious lunches of fresh caught fish and mediterranean salads. ( donīt forget that the mediterranean diet is said to be one of the healthiest in the world.) The Andalucian people are very hospitable and friendly which makes shopping and dining out a pleasure. You will find a good selection of restaurants all up and down the coast catering for every taste. As you would expect, the night life is also superb with bars and discoteques staying open most of the night and of course during the summer there is always a feria at one town or another. If there is one thing that the Andalucians know how to do well it is to enjoy themselves and this lively and exhuberant attitude to life readily rubs off on visitors to the Costa del Sol.
